What date format is accepted from the following for Effective Date and Expiration Date in Report Security?

a) DD-MM-YY
b) DD-MMM-YYYY
c) DD-MM-YYYY

If we apply Report Security to a particular report, say XYZ, do we need to publish XYZ to be view by users other than Admin?

The date format depends on the local of your SQL Server. In US the format is like 12/31/2006.

Users other than admin can publish reports to be visible by other users. A “writer” can publish to any folder. A “non-writer” user that can have report publish permission to a folder too (please go to Design > Security).
