I have tried to change session time to 3600 (asumming this is in seconds) but report portal is timing out earlier. I checked after 36 minutes and my session was timed out.

It seems to me that this is a bug.

Are you referring to Admin > Application Settings > Session Timeout (in minutes)?

If yes, the session can be terminated by your server other than session timeout. For example, sessions can time out if the server is restarted (or auto-restarted). Please take a look at the Application and System event long on the server during the time the session was dropped.
