I have updated RP from build 122 to 126 & now am getting an error message. It starts" Error parsing xml:,<CalulatedMeasures><Measure UName=" and goes on for a while. All of these calulations are in the cube as calculated members from MSAS.

I am getting this even when I start a brand new report from the virual cube.

I tried rebuilding the virtual cube with no success.

What should I try now?

Thanks
Bruce

I solved the immediate problem. When I connect to the cube to make a NEW report and the option "Show calulated Measure info" is selected I get the above error. When I un-select this option I can make a report.

I can pull up an most of my existing report regardless of this setting, but some of them have the error.

Please advise.

Thanks

Hi,

Which SSAS are you using 2000 or 2005 and do you have this with Foodmart ?

Marco

I am using SSAS 2k. I will try tomorrow at work with the foodmart.

It seems to be only virtual cubes, the "actual" cubes were OK. Also once I unselected the "show calculated info" the problem disappeared.

No I cannot create the problem in foodmart.

I will redesign the virual cube from scratch (I had a lot of calculated memebers that relied on derived & calculated measures from the actual cubes.

It's very strange.

I found the error & can recreate it in foodmart.

If you create a calculated measure in a virtual cube with the character "&" in the name, the program will crash.

I assume that the ampersand is a reserved character, but SSAS lets it by, but it affects RP with the show calculated measure.

Oh well, I will just rename fields & measures.
