I went through steps suggested here for Windows 2003; I am still getting this error:

Microsoft OLE DB Service Components error '800300fb'
The file is not a valid compound file.
/LM/W3SVC/1/Root/ReportPortal/global.asa, line 53

What am I doing wrong?

Dave,

Make sure that your xmla.udl is pointing the right SQL server database that you have created. Make sure not to use integrated authentication. Here are the installation instruction you should follow:
