Hai Guys,
I need help here.
My Office just use new laptop with new spec.
I've a problem in exporting the BI to Excel.
The error is when i pres the export to excel button, with the excel has opened, the excel suddenly warning me an error message.
After that the excel was closed, and excel recovery loading.
Is anyone ever face this problem too?
I'm using IE 9, with excel 2007, and OWC 11/2003

Are you exporting an OWC report to Excel using OWC “Export to Microsoft Office Excel” toolbar button? Or are you using OWC report Export toolbar button?
What does the error message say? |

Yes, i export using "Export to Microsoft Office Excel" tool bar button.
May i know why that can be happen?

| OWC supports export to Excel 2000, XP and 2003. Microsoft stopped OWC support for Excel 2007 and up. |

But if i'm using windows XP as the operating system, it don't have any problem while i export it.
Is there any solution? |

| The solution is to use OWC report Export toolbar button. if you have Excel 2007 or up, do to not use OWC “Export to Microsoft Office Excel” toolbar button regardless of your OS. |

So it means we have to always stay on the old technology?
Does report portal don't have any update or solution for this feature?

In your situation, you should use OLAP reports instead of OWC reports.
OWC is an old technology that you do not have to use. Some customers find this report type useful. You can disable it, if you wish, by going to Admin > Selected Report Types. Besides OWC report type, ReportPortal supports 22 other report types. |
