Hi Igor,

I have been unable to access the new Version 2.0 environment after completing the set up.

The Login.aspx page displays the following error:

The "xmla.udl" not found in the virtual directory. There are can be one of the following possibilities:

"The xmla.udl is missing.
The xmla.udl does not have a valid Sql Server user id and password.
Virtual directory is not properly setup. To fix this problem create the virtual directory for the folder. Restart IIS and try to login again."

I have tried the following to resolve:
- check xmla.udl is in the virtual directory
- tested to confirm SQL Server user ID is correct
- uninstalled, deleted SQL db and resintalled
- tried installing full and eval version
- tried install on a second computer
- stopped and started IIS
- run permissions wizard in IIS
- confirmed username and passwords for XMLA and SQL (These both validate during install)
- deleted and recreated ReportPortal and XMLA virtual directories

I still get the same error shown above.

HELP!!

THanks
Ryan

Cheers
Ryan

Ryan,

1) Double click xmla.udl file.
2) Do not select “Windows NT Integrated security” option
3) Check the “Allow saving password” option
4) Select the connection tab and click the “Test Connection” button.
5) Click OK
6) Restart IIS

Igor,

This unfortunatley did not help.

The xmla.udl was already using SQL Authentication.
"Allow saving password' was already selected
"Test Connection" works fine
Have restarted IIS

Still does not work!! What else can I try??

Thanks
Ryan

Igor,

Turns out the problem was my IIS missing the .aspx application mapping.

Resolution = Uninstall and Reinstall of Microsoft.net Framework v 1.1.
