When I uninstall the old version to install the new version are existing reports saved or are the removed as well? If they are removed, is there anyway to retain them? And where are they saved so that I can back them up.

Thanks,
Vincent

If you install ReportPortal. There is always the question where do you want to install the database.

In most cases it is installed on the same pc/server as ReportPortal. And the name of the SQL Server 2000 or 2005 database is ReportPortal.

Just open Enterprise Manager for SQL Server 2000 or SQL Server Management Studio for SQL Server 2005 and you will see your databases.

Hi,

If you first uninstall ReportPortal, there is the question if you would like to uninstall the database as well. if you don't uninstall the database than you have all settings and reports if you uninstall the database than you start with a blanco ReportPortal.

Regards, Marco
