Hi,
i installed build 89 and everything seems to be OK.
But i am now not able to connect to a cube.
There is no popup like in Build 83 to select a cube!
-->Design-->Olap Report-->Connect to Cube (second icon)
My Connection
-->Admin-->Connections
*connection name: xmla
*type: xmla
*type: xmla url
*Connection String: xmla/msxisapi.dll
*Selected users:
***Administrator
***sefer (user)
The connection thru XMLA setup works fine.
is that a bug, or am i fool for installation?

Please make sure that admin and writer checkboxes are unchecked for the user. |

Hi igor,
i am now able to view the connection popup and i get a connection to the AS.
But i have now and again the bug before.
I am not able to disable reports for users
like my post

For me it seems that Build 83 is equal to 90 !!!

The problem was with the evaluation version only. It is now fixed in
Build 90.

I have the same problem. It begins when I install build 89, it doesn't show the window of the conection, so I try to do it with sql 2000 and doesn't work either. I tried in Win2003 server and WinXP Pro SP2.
Isn't the popup blocker of IE because other popup windows does show up, like filter formula window. |

No. I installed Win Xp Pro and the Windows Server 2003 new
Do you see popup window ?
The Popup window doesnt appear in Build 89!

Hi,
i think this is a problem with a Popup-blocker.
I use IE Version 6.0.2900.2180.
The Popupblocker has allways been turned off.
My PC and Server are in the "trusted Zone" and i disabled all security options.
Build 83 works, but 89 doesnt!
And i dont know what to do!
Should i try IE 5.5? But it is complician to install, because IE 6.0!

Hi,
I did restore an OLAP database and was also not able to see it in RP. But adding the same user roles as with Foodmart 2000 and a restart of the PC and I was able to choice the restored olap database.
I hope this helps you

This Popup doesnt appear!
My xmla default connection:

I tried to chnage the security settings in Internet Explorer to trusted zones and low level, but this doesnt works.
All users has access to Foodmart in AS.
I installed Build 83, because that worked, but still it doesnt work too.
There must be a setiing which i have changed and this caused this problem, but which setting!
I got this problem on my Windows Server 2003 and local on Win Xp Prof.!

Hi,
Do you see the screen where you see the xmla connection ? and server ? and not any database or any cube ?
If no database than you should add security in the olap cube.
For example Foodmart 2000 is with All users and should be seen on the screen.
