Hi, I have just tried to install the eval version of ReportPortal 2.0 onto a machine that has never had a previous version of ReportPortal on it. A few months ago I managed to get 1.5 up and running on another machine but as version 2.0 has an installer I can no longer 'get behind the scenes' to find out what it is that I am doing wrong. The message I get is with the SQL Server Connection information dialog, server name (local), database ReportPortal, username sa password <the sa password>.

Does it expect a database named ReportPortal to already exist -perhaps created by v 1.5 ?

thanks

Yes, many apologies for wasting your time on this as I've been a bit of an idiot

I just got back to looking at it again this morning and noticed that I hadn't set the authentication mode to 'SQL Server and Windows' - at the moment my back end database solution just uses Windows authentication. Duh.

Problem solved, running up the install now because I'm dying to get in and try the new stuff.

cheers

The setup will create new database if it does not exist or will upgrade the existing one.
