He,

when I start the portal on the server it is all ok.
when I start the portal on an client i get the login page, and then, after a very short moment i need to put the admin password again.
Is there a way to get the info, what is wrong (logfiles ...)
Is there a komplett Install for windows 2003 Server ?
(there a many possibilitys to do something wrong, so hardcopy's a very usefull)

Please take a look at variables.asp. It will show you the list of session variables. Make sure that UserId session variable is set.

Hi,

this is not the problem, becaus i installed it by default (600).

In the moment i think there must be security or an IIS Problem.
When I am on the server (2003) login is no problem (i put in the ie http://localhost/reportportal and then login with admin ) when I am on an client (i put in the ie http://"machine name"/reportportal) i cant login by admin.
What is wrong and what can i do to see what is wrong (logfiles, ...) ???

I can think of two possibilities:

1) Your session timeout is set to a very short time. Please go to Admin > Settings > Session Timeout (in minutes) and change it to 600 (10 hours)

2) You are using HTTP access for your OWC reports. There is a known bug where maolap.asp creates a new ASP session every time you connect. The solution for this is to move msolap.asp to an external folder (like wwwroot) and update the “Msolap.asp URL” (Admin > Settings page)
