Hi All,

Is it possible to create a calculated field based on two memebers of a dimension? I have a report that shows two distinct memebers of a dimension as columns and I then want to calc (dimension.memberA.value / dimension.memberB.value)??

Below is the MDX of my report so far:

Select non empty HIERARCHIZE(DISTINCT({
[CalendarYear].[All CalendarYear].[2003].[Quarter 3 2003].[September 2003]})) on rows,
non empty HIERARCHIZE(DISTINCT({
[COA].&[Current Assets],
[COA].&[Current Liabs]})) on columns
From [Finance]
Where ([Measures].[Actual Amount])

Cheers
Ryan

Here is an example for Foodmart 2000 - Budget cube. The calculated measure can have a formula that combines values from two members: Marketing and lease. The MDX would look like this:

([Account].[All Account].[Net Income].[Total Expense].[Marketing],[Measures].[Amount]) +
([Account].[All Account].[Net Income].[Total Expense].[Lease],[Measures].[Amount])
