Hi
we have installed XMLA on windows 2003 server
the analysis server is running on the same machine
all is working well except http connection to OWC OLAP reports
we can generate a report using direct connection however with
http or https we get error " Internal server Error "

Please Help

Tal,

1) Copy ‘msolap.asp’ from

C:\Program Files\Microsoft Analysis Services\Bin

C:\ReportPortal\owc

2) If you do not wish to use Analysis Services security make sure that the anonymous user for the msolap.asp has the full access to the Analysis Services.

3) If you wish to use Analysis Services security make sure to enable the Basic Authentication only for the msolap.asp. Also make sure that Nt User Name and Nt Password are set for each ReportPortal user.

4) Try to test the to connection to with a udl file. (You can create a blank udl file by changing the file extension for any blank test file.) Choose the OLAP Services 8.0 provider and type the path to you owc folder (http://YourServerName/ReportPortal/owc)
