Posted - 07/26/2006 : 16:51:53 Hi We've started experiencing an error when connecting to a cube. This error doesn't occur everytime and doesn't seem to occur for ReportPortal Admin users. I'm not sure if this is to do with updates to ie or the version of RP we're using: ReportPortal 2.1, Build 112.
The error comes up as: "An error has occurred in the script on this page" Line 85, Char 1, Object Does not support this property or method, Code 0, URL http...MdxConnect.aspx.
When I turn on debugging I get the additional error: 'OWinLevels' is null or not an object.
Cheers

Posted - 09/19/2006 : 14:53:33 Hi This is still an issue with build 126. It now comes up with the error. 'Error: Unable to process the request, because the DataSourceInfo property was missing or not correctly specified.'

Posted - 07/27/2006 : 20:56:38 Hi Thanks for your guys help. I've taken both your suggestions. I have looked through the event log - and managed to fix a login security error.
I have also upgraded to the latest version. I now get the error 'Unable to process the request, because the DataSourceInfo property was missing or not correctly specified'. I have found a work-around which is to use the 'Connect to Cube' icon on the tool bar and this works everytime. Also when logged on as Admin user it still works reliably. The original problem which is the Link 'Connect to Cube' in the data area still fails most times for a non Admin account. Before upgrading I reverted to our original build (102) and this problem went away. I'm wondering if other customers don't use non admin accounts to build reports, or if it is perculiar to our system. Just to note the problem isn't too urgent for us now we have a work-around.
Cheers |

Posted - 07/27/2006 : 00:30:44 Hi Adrian,
if it is possible try the latest build. Often that solves the problem.
