HI Team,
I am having a problem with how RP displays dimensions when a dimension hierarchy is used. i.e) Two diffrent product dimensions Product Group and Product Type. In analysis services they have been constructed to use a dimension hierarchy so they have the names product.group and product.type. In RP this is causing these two seperate dimensions to both displayed under the a single dimension member called product.

Help!!

Thanks
Ryan

Cheers
Ryan

Hi
The RP browser feature enable to merge several dimension levels under one dimension.
This is very useful when there is one dimension but several ways to drilldown levels.
For example period.weeks by year and week and period.month per year quarter month.
In order to do that dimension should get the same name dot level.
This is what happen with your product dimension.
All you have to do in order to avoid is to change dimension name.
FYI not all browsers have that feature so some reflect two separate dimensions although this is a most useful feature.
Note: The two levels must start with ALL level.
HTH.
Tal.
