Posted - 04/30/2006 : 22:52:28 RP Version 2.1 OS = Win 2003 Asp.Net = v2 SQL Server = 2000
I have enabled XML for Analysis but have not been able to connect to the desired OLAP cubes.
The SQL Server, Analysis Server, IIS and Domain Server are all on the machine.
Even when the Domain Administrator is given access to the cubes via the database roles in Analysis Services (AS) and then logs onto report portal with his NT username and password set up in the REport Portal User account the cubes are not visible.
If the 'Everyone' user is added to the AS database role the cubes are visible.
Strangely when the Synchronise Users feature of Report Portal is used the required domain displays but does not return users however an old domain set up on another server with NT 4 shows both the domain and users?
Help!
Thanks Ryan

I have NOT tested with Excel. I will do so and report back.

Did you try the “Test Role” button? (Cube > Manage Roles) |
