We are encountering a few difficulties when creating an Olap Sales cube containing customer, product, date delivered, qty.
We can build a report with customer as the main dimension and product as a filter. We would like to replace Customer with item so that the Item becomes the focus of the report that is visible on screen.
Basically it's the same option as the switch axis but is based on the dimension. We know that products like Cognos, comshare can do this.
Is this possible or must we create a new report to accomplish this?
Any help appreciated

It is a default setting that users can drag and drop slicers in the grid.
Buut if you need tot click on teh latest hierarchy to another slicer you can do this with for example PieChart Report.

Solution
To let users drag and drop dimensions please go to Options > check:
Show Field list - In the view mode allows users open the Field List
Show Drop panel - In the view mode allows users open the Drop panel

Hi,
I would suggest you to make a PieChart report where you can click through and go to other slicers etc.
You can click also on charts if you like.
The feature to click to the lowest level in and go with right mouse to another slicer in OLAP report like in Panorama NovaVie wis not available yet. If needed / wanted you cna ask Igor to have this feature for the wishlist.

Apologies for the confusion I've been trying to write this post in a more meaningful manner but it's proving difficult to put into words.
So here goes...............
We are trying to design a view that provides us with the ability to swap the dimensions around. For example we may have two dimensions Customers and Products. To begin with the Dimension may display Customers and break down to customer depots and then to products displaying the qty ordered and qty despatched as the measures.
We would then like the ability to switch the dimension from Customer to that of Products.
Hope this makes it a little clearer.

I am not sure I fully understand you...
Have you tried placing the customer dimension BOTH a filter AND on rows? |
