Hello everyone!
Noob question:
Can I render report portal accessible from the internet (by entering proper username and password) in order to let my "customers" view, download and build reports, charts and other analysis? Can I do it via .cub files?

Thanks in advance

Hi,

We have a customer using ReportPortal based on local cubes for OLAP for Internet:

Please visit: www.gmsbv.nl and click on the customer COS Gemeente Rotterdam and you will see OLAP for Internet based on local cubes live !

It is great, fast and easy !

Regards,

Yes, Report Portal allows you to publish reports for the Internet users with or without password.

Yes, you can point XMLA service to a CUB file instead of an Analysis Services database. Just update the datasources.xml file that comes with the XMLA.

C:\Program Files\Microsoft XML For Analysis SDK\Config\datasources.xml
