Posted - 05/30/2005 : 11:42:08 Hi Igor, i´m looking for Report Portal 2.0 client requirements like "flash version needed", "owc", etc. It would be great to have a complete list of client requirements to support BIR 2.0 functionality. TIA, Julieta |

Posted - 06/02/2005 : 19:05:47 No, OWC is a different kind of animal. There is no free CAB download for fully functional OWC. You can’t just copy a CAB into a virtual directory and point to it via the codebase tag. Office XP and 2003 have free downloads but they are limited in their functionality.
In addition the web client is required to have PTS (PTSFULL.exe from SQL Sever CD) installed.
However, OWC report has a help toolbar button that should help users with these problems.

Posted - 06/02/2005 : 11:07:05 Igor: We have a problem with the OWC reports. When the client does not have office web components installed, the application doesn't show the gif image of the report. Shouldn't it ask the client to download the component (just like flash player)?
We need help ASAP. Thanks.
