Hi, It appears that we are experiencing issues with the Excel export. How can we troubleshoot this? The report is quite large, and even after reducing the data, it still takes a long time to refresh and export. The issue seems to be that one of the columns or records is causing the Excel export to fail. In some cases, the file is not generated at all; in others, the exported file is corrupted. The troubleshooting by removing columns and reprocessing is quite hard because we need to add NON_EMPTY_BEHAVIOR to each measure each time one is removed otherwize it does not process the query, and there are around 30 of them. Is there any easier way to troubleshoot that? Is there a log file that can be checked? Regards, Mac |

There is an application level option you can try under Admin > Settings > OLAP Report > Non Empty > Enable NonEmpty Crossjoin
What is the error in the Excel Excel file? |

Hi, Apology for the late response.
The Excel file in MS Excel says: "Excel cannot open the file 'xxx.xIsx' because the file format or file extension is not valid. Verify that the file has not been corrupted and that the file extension matches the format of the file".
When opened in notepad it looks like it is not excel but html file, and there is an error variable saying: "Excel2007.GetMemoryStreamFromXml() could not load an XML: No Data".
Regards, Mac

Please try to identity which row and column is producing the error by removing columns and rows.
Could it be some special character contained within the data?
Can you please try to reproduce the problem on our demo server: https://reportportal.us/ |
